ONE MORE before flying away... A TO Zzzzzz

Just this one last post for the Birdzzzzz.   IF I were more attentive to social media, I would have caught this in a timely manner to include in one of the previous posts.

(NOTE:  PLEASE do no be afraid nor hesitate to send me email suggestions and/or guest posts.  I don't reveal your identity without permission.  Really.  The collective effort is MUCH funnier, and revealing than my own blathering.  fatherjtd@gmail.com  )

A (Alfred) to Zzz

Thanks for Facebook friend Tim for sharing and permission to post here. Had I seen this prior to my post, this would have been front and center!

  2. Fr. Z must be VERY effective if his blog merits someone writing this parody on a full-time basis. Either that or whoever writes as "Fr.D" has some very serious mental issues.

    1. Or a wide circle of religious professionals views "Father Z" as a loose cannon that stirs up problems among the lunatic fringe. He's unfit for ministry, and if you're a fan and can't see that, you may have more than a touch of lunacy in your fringe.

    2. And cranking out a brief satirical blog post every few days is hardly a “full-time” job - far less so than the amount of constant begging and opining and sneering and gun-polishing that goes on in some other blogs.

(This readerette started out as a fan of Zzzzz’s liturgical ethos, pro-life sentiments, and elegant Latin-English translations. She has gradually lost patience with his schtick in recent years and now visits this blog instead.)

    3. How "effective" Father Z is remains to be seen. With Pope Francis at the wheel, it would seem that Zuhlsdorf has quite the uphill climb. But as long as the Good Father continues to be less than charitable in his actions and comments, we'll continue to call him on it.

    4. Mr. Saint,

I love how you don't dispute the accuracy of this blog's portrayal of Fr Z but simply hurl insults at its writer. Thanks for refuting yourself.

    5. I assure you, Aloysius, I have no mental issues. I am not crazy. My mother had me tested.
Thank you for your your concern regarding my health. I do have a few physical ailments for which I would be grateful for your prayers.

The most time consuming aspect of writing this blog is responding to private email. This "Fr D" does all by himself. The posts on the other hand usually have several hands in them. Consider us a Blogging Concillium of Clerics, from Eastern Rite, Latin Rite-- Ordinary and Extraordinary forms-- and even a member of the Anglican Patrimony contributing his thoughts and ideas on occasion! Truly a CATHOLIC effort.

  3. Ah ha ha whatever. It's only a matter of time before the good Fr. Z sues the writer of this pathetic blog. And us fans of Fr. Z will be happy campers when that happens.

    1. Ah ha ha Father Z is gonna sue you for making fun of him! And then and then and then and then us fans of Father Z will be happy campers! Na na na na boo boo!

Dude, you have the maturity of an eighth grader. Go grab your iPhone and go tabernacle hunting somewhere.

    2. Will you be contributing to the special fund drive to hire a lawyer ?

    3. Mr. Gonzaga-- perhaps you would be better off not visiting us so frequently. If Father Zzzz were to sue me, perhaps my blog traffic would increase to the level of his own. Then, I can sell advertising space.

    4. I would imagine he has hired a lawyer already, and I would definitely contribute to that worthy fund. What can be more adolescent-like than a blog that has a full-time goal of maligning a Catholic priest? It's a rhetorical question.

  4. Ha ha I love it! I have another question about Father Z--I looked at his "amazon wish list," and he's asking for people to buy pieces of an AR-15 for him…which is not a hunting rifle, or even a pistol to be used for self-defense. It's an assault rifle. Which he's asking Catholic laity to buy for him. Where is this man's bishop? How many guys do we all know got shipped off to places like St. Luke's or Downingtown or other places, because of anger or depression or addiction, and this guy is LIVING in Archdiocesan property and BUILDING AN ASSAULT RIFLE?

Seriously, what's the endgame on a creep like this?

    1. His bishop is the administrator of the Diocese of Velletri-Segni (actually Cardinal Arinze is the official bishop because Velletri-Segni is given to cardinal-bishops as a titular see. The actual bishop who in theory would be over Zuhlsdorf would be Bishop Vincenzo Apicella) Since Zuhlsdorf has been busy making $$$ like a true patriot living the capitalist dream the past decade in the good ole' USofA I doubt His Excellency knows much about Zuhlsdorf except that he's the sole presbyter on the list of priests that has been on leave on absence for 10 years.

im a gun nut myself but a priest having the things disturbs me, ive made quite a few comments on this blog over his guns and ammo fund. i like to always point out that a true traditionalist priest would still honor the principles of the 1917 code of canon law which strictly forbids clerics from bearing arms. (that was a huge problem during the crusades and rome went to great length to ban presbyters and bishops from using or owning weapons)

  5. Easy answer, anonymous--just talk to the people who lived with him in Rome! They'll tell you about a seminarian who had a different take on homosexuality--or at least its practice late night after the good scotch had been consumed--

    1. Oh.. Tell more. Is that why he got kicked out of the seminary in the U.S.? Because of being intrinsically disordered?

    2. We would LOVE to talk with the people who lived with him in Rome. Please have them drop us a note.

  6. Notice ol' Z is VERY careful never to address the issue of gay priests themselves--he'll rail against gay marriage, rail against "homosexual activists," but he never EVER broaches the topic of his own sexuality. Of course, the self-conscious attempts to be butch (I hunt! I drink whiskey! I smoke cigars!) are a little sad to see, especially over time. I met him at a museum once, and Dorothy was definitely not in Kansas anymore

    1. I honestly do not care one way of the other. Gay, straight, in between, his fascination with guns, his attitude about women, his shameless begging; yet leading a relative luxurious life style, all earn him our attention. When one such as Zzzz sets him (or her) self up as some form or expert, guide, teacher, etc, he opens himself up to critique.
His sexual orientation is not an issue. His treatment of others based on their sexual orientation is.

  7. Did anyone see today's post? Where Father Z announces that the SSPX can't administer the sacraments because they don't have faculties under their local bishop? LMAO! Didn't this guy go for the better part of a decade working as a renegade priest until the NCR investigated him and he had to admit he himself didn't have faculties, and was "working privately" as a priest? Too rich.

    1. In his defense, he was incardinated into a diocese, had valid faculties to function as a priest. He was on an educational sabbatical. Now, at the time, there might not have been a local bishop in the places he lived willing to grant him faculties to minister more freely in the diocese, as the current Bishop of Madison as done.

  8. He's between a rock and a hard place, because his traditionalists buddies hate him too, just look at their blogs
