ONE WAY TO MAKE FATHER Zzzz FLEE! (for the Pistol Packin' Padre file)

Business owners, Restauranteurs, Vendors, (Maybe even Pastors), do you want a 95% sure way to keep the BIG Zzzzz from coming or returning to your place of business?  I have a sure fire way to do so that will only cost you around five dollars.  ($5.00 US)

Get yourself one of these.

"Father D, surely you are exaggerating!  Are you at the very least blowing this out of proportion at little?"

NOPE. Not one bit.

  1. Perhaps we can all encourage the Z-man to leave the priesthood and pursue his true love by opening a survivalist store? For a priest, he sure is obsessed with guns.

  2. I don't like the bullying tone of this blog and I'm very sympathetic with Z's liturgical aims but I have to say I don't feel particularly safe with Fr Z carrying a concealed weapon.

    1. I had to give it thought before commenting here, so I do understand your objection, but I think his strong opinions probably deserve strong response. I'd say after looking over the blog that this is more about satire than bullying.

I used to comment often on Rev. Zuhlsdorf's blog, but he took a hard turn to the right toward the lunatic fringe lately, and he's also been increasingly think-skinned. A question he should explore in his spiritual life is how to reconcile being ready to kill someone who trespasses against him with being ready to forgive someone who trespasses against him. I'm not a Christian but I do think someone, somewhere had something to say on this point in his bio-novella.

  3. zuhlsdorf's politically motivated phrase of late "these united States" is what has bren irking me lately

the gun thing is of course disgusting coming from a priest of Jesus Christ. i think his nationalism and politics are going into mania for some reason. francis being bishop of rome doesnt seem to be calming his nerves lol

    1. The papal election seems to have set him off in some way. Perhaps it ended some job prospects or something like that for him.

  4. This blog seems positively gentle on Fr Z. A tougher commentator would note the fund raising for "ammo"; the fund raising for dodgy trips to Rome (mostly to visit fav trattorias, apparently); the promulgation of rumours; the patronising attitude toward Pope Francis; the frequent mocking of "liberals" more because they are old than because of anything they said or did; the "thesis" that always seems less important than a trip to the kitchen or the firing range or a restaurant.

Fr D, in contrast, is much more charitable than some of us might be...

    2. I cannot imagine what kind of clericalism would motivate a person to contribute money to that.
